About Soccer DB Manager
Soccer DB Manager is a free, browser-based football management game. Pick a season, take charge of a real club, and play out a whole championship match by match — choosing your tactics, managing your squad, and building a manager career across many seasons.
Why it exists
The idea is simple: let anyone manage any club from any era — for free, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Most football games lock the past away or ask for an account and a download; this one opens in your browser, remembers your game on your own device, and lets you jump straight into a season and start managing. It is made for people who love football and its history, and who enjoy the "what if I were in charge?" daydream.
What you can do
- Manage a club match by match — build a 25-man squad (a random draw, a real club, or a snake draft), set your formation, mentality and best XI, then play the season out with goals, cards, injuries and live standings.
- Play Management mode — meet the board's objective, build a reputation you carry between clubs, and run a transfer market with a real budget.
- Build a multi-season career — squads age, players retire, and you can stay, move clubs or chase bigger jobs; your spells, titles and honours are kept in a career timeline and a Hall of Fame.
- Earn trophies — unlock achievements as you win the league, go unbeaten, or build a long career.
- Test your knowledge — a football trivia quiz with a daily challenge and an endless mode: guess the player, the club, the score and more.
How ratings and results work
Every player carries a rating built from their real football career — how much and how recently they played, weighted by the level of the football involved and adjusted for age. An average professional sits around the low 70s, established starters higher, genuine stars in the mid-to-high 80s, and only the very best above 90. These are our own calculations, made for the game — they are not official ratings.
Matches are simulated from the strength of each side's chosen eleven, with quality the main factor and a modest home advantage; fitness, mentality, cards and injuries all feed into the outcome. How it has grown
Soccer DB Manager began as a simple way to explore football history and quickly turned into a game. Since then it has gained a full live match engine, a Management mode with board objectives and a transfer market, multi-season manager careers with transfers and retirements, and — more recently — trophies and achievements and a daily football trivia quiz. It is still evolving, and new features are added regularly.
A note on accuracy
Football history is vast and was never perfectly recorded, so there can be gaps or small mistakes, and the game's ratings and match results are simulations for entertainment rather than statements of fact. If something looks wrong, we'd genuinely like to hear about it — please use the Contact page.
